Early in 2006, I began to research the possibility of publishing a free magazine to be distributed all across the area, in addition to setting up a searchable website of local church information for new residents and others without a church home.
My search led me to John Witwer, publisher of Church & Christian Business Guide® in Denver who is also the owner of the nationally registered trademark. John shared his vision for establishing the Guide in all 50 states, as a way to promote the Gospel and build churches in preparation for greater revival.
Finding a shared vision and heart to help see churches, Christian schools and Christian businesses grow, I purchased the license from John to begin operations here using the name Virginia Church & Christian Business Guide®. We are not affiliated with any other local publication.
Working with me are family and friends from our local church. To help people find the right church home for them, we gathered information on 1600 local churches to be uploaded on both the national and local websites (ChurchGuide.com and VAChurchGuide.com).
We love the local church, and seek to be a blessing to those looking for a place to call home, as well as those who preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God.
